"This my 3rd children’s title for Tate Publishing. It celebrates the traditional High Street and the joy of discovering something hidden. With rhyming text and detailed illustrations, the book follows the journey of Sally as she visits a nostalgic selection of shops. Intriguing fold out and lift-the-flap pages (combined with lyrical verse) allow you to peep inside each of the shops — creating an imaginative world to suit children (and adults!) of all ages."

Alice’s book is inspired by Eric Ravilious (below) high street prints. Her approach is bright and simplified, but with subtle textures within the brick work and tiles. Her book creates interaction through flap and peek-a-boo pictures through her book.
